I think Filipinos are the most unique yet most misunderstood culture. We’re not asian. We’re not hispanic. We’re not polynesian. Instead of trying of fitting in a “box”, I love that we’re like a hybrid of many cultures. I appreciate that despite all the cultural diversity we’re united though our love of people, traditions, the arts such as dance and music and of course AMAZING food.
My daughters are a huge motivation. I know they will fail, and will make mistakes, so every day, I just try to live my life being the best version of myself I can be. Living by example and hopefully doing my best to raise them to be Godly Women who are respectful and worth being respected.
A core value that I always practice and I try to instill in my children is accountability. Use your common sense, and make smart choices. Don’t give people a reason to accuse you of being flakey or wishy-washy. The only thing we have 100% ability to be accountable to is our word so if you say you’re going to do something, do your best to stick to it.
My greatest leadership trait is communication. Communication is key in all areas of life. If you want to be successful, you need to learn how to communicate your feelings and ideas, clearly and effectively. This is especially important when building and maintaining solid relationships.
